In response to the need for medical assistance of the constituents of Mendez, Cavite, the provincial government’s medical mission team brought free healthcare services closer to the doorsteps of Barangay Asis I, II and III residents on July 4, 2023.
Dr. Micheal Joe Medina and Dr. Arnhem Patiño led the technical team from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer in attending to the health concerns of 283 patients. Meanwhile, OPG-Extension, under the supervision of Ms. Charlene Ann Samala, led the distribution of medicines, vitamin supplements and mosquito repellent lotion.
Social Worker Interns from the municipal government of Mendez comprised of Ms. Wynnona Nia Allysson Lunan, Ms. Hannah Isabelle De Luna, Ms. Joana May Arcos, and Mr. Franc Matthew Baysantos provided assistance during the event, alongside Barangay health workers and volunteers.
Ms. Emma Perey, Mendez Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer, and Mr. Dominador Diaz, head of Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs, also visited the venue proper and expressed their utmost gratefulness to the PGC.
